Maureen Denise McCormick was born on August 5 1956 at Woodland Hills California the youngest and sole daughter of Richard and Irene McCormick. Her father taught at school, and her mom was a homemaker. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three older brothers. McCormick began singing and dancing in her early years and often performed show-like puppets in front of the kids in her community. Following her win in her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6 years old, Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see what she thought about getting into the world of entertainment. McCormick was chosen to play in her first major role in 1964 in the tv spot for Mattels most recent doll, Baby Pattaburp. In the year that followed, she appeared in another commercial that aired on TV for Chatty Cathy's doll. After that, she was commissioned by La Jolla Playhouse to play the part of Wind It up before It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the part of the oldest daughter in the towheaded trio in The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a new blended family. The show ran for five seasons and the show was a successful one. McCormick in her memoir Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice Published in 2008, McCormick revealed how during the 5th season of the show she almost lost the love of her life to her brother Barry Williams. He was 19 years old. She was 16. The incident would have happened as she describes. However, the timing for our relationship was not right.
